This session focuses on equipping coaches with the tools to evaluate athletes across strength, flexibility, and technical markers in order to guide safe and effective skill progressions. Attendees will learn how to build individualized skill profiles that highlight each athlete’s unique strengths, mobility limitations, and technical needs, and how to apply readiness benchmarks to determine when athletes are prepared to advance. The session also covers how to conduct verification-style testing across all apparatuses – bars, beam, vault, and floor – and emphasizes the importance of tracking progress over time using standardized rubrics and training journals to support long-term athlete development.
