Registration and Pricing Information

Region 1 Congress will be held August 23-25, 2024 at the Hilton San Jose in San Jose, CA. Pre-Registration has now closed.  Onsite registration will be available at any time during Congress registration hours.

Onsite Registration Fees:
Member: $240, plus processing fees
Non-Member: $270, plus processing fee

Congress Registration Hours:

  • Thursday, August 22: 5:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Friday, August 23: 7:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 24: 7:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 25: 8:00 a.m.-10:00a.m.

Congress Lecture Hours:

  • Friday and Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (Lunch: 12:15- 1:30 p.m.)
  • Sunday: 8:30- 12:00 p.m.

Lectures are 1 hour long; the last lecture begins at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at  11:00 a.m. on Sunday. 

Exhibit Hall Hours:

  • Friday and Saturday: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

R103 School Age: Hands on Training
Thursdsay, August 22 – 4:00-9:00p.m.
Join us for an evening of fun and professional development! With an emphasis on safety, individual development, fitness and fun, instructors of recreational gymnasts will learn age-appropriate skills, drills and progressions on the vault, bars, beam, floor & trampoline Information about lesson planning, class management, warm-ups and games will be provided, along with hands-on spotting practice.

R301: Brain and Body: Beyond Basics
Sunday, August 25 – 1:00-7:00p.m.
Reaching beyond simple drills and games, this course provides a better understanding of the process of learning. Topics covered include the developmental stages of self-perception, levels of thought, learning styles, motor learning, motor development and the theory of muscle memory, as well as understanding the Autism spectrum and other special needs. Perfect for preschool, recreational, developmental coaches, directors, owners and team coaches.

In this workshop, attendees learn why and how to establish Positive Coaching as a cultural norm, plus they get a takeaway action plan for implementation throughout their community of coaches, parents, athletes, officials, and spectators.

Registration/Transfer/Cancellation Policies

Registration for Minor Members: Individuals attending National or Regional Congress must be minimum of 16 years old. 16-17 year olds attending a Congress must have a non-athlete membership with USA Gymnastics. This can be a Volunteer, Recreational Coach, Competitive Coach or Judge membership (whether or not they also hold an Athlete membership).

TRANSFER POLICY: To transfer a registration to another person, please email [email protected]. All transfers must be received no later than 1:00 p.m. EST on Friday, August 2, 2024.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: All cancellations must be received in writing to [email protected]. Cancellation requests received before August 2, 2024, will result in a full refund minus a $30 processing fee. Cancellation requests received after August 2, 2024, will result in a 50% refund of the registration fee. The refund total will be determined by the total number of registrants (if registered as a group), and the lowest amount paid will be refunded. NO REFUNDS after September 1, 2024.

PLEASE NOTE: registration belongs to the payor and may be canceled and/or substituted by the payor at any time during the registration period.
