2025 Region 5 Congress Registration Now Closed

Region 5 Congress will be held June 27-29, 2025 at the Hilton Columbus Downtown in Columbus, Ohio. Pre-Registration has now closed. Onsite registration will be available at any time during Congress registration hours.

Onsite Registration Fees:

  • Member:$270 plus processing fees
    Non-Member: $300 plus processing fee

  • Thursday, June 26: 5:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 27: 7:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 28: 7:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 29: 8:00 a.m.-10:00a.m.

Congress Lecture Hours:

  • Friday and Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m. (Lunch: 12:15-1:45 p.m.)
  • Sunday: 8:30- 12:00 p.m.

Exhibit Hall Hours:

  • Friday and Saturday: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

U407: Positive Coaching Alliance: Developing Competitors and Mental Wellness Through Positive Coaching
Thursday, June 26 – 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Ema Spencer Room
Presented by the Positive Coaching Alliance, this FREE workshop gives coaches hands-on tools they can immediately use to create a positive sports culture with their team. Now more than ever, teen mental wellness needs our focus. Mental wellness affects how we think, feel, and act and determines how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. A positive sports experience, where athletes develop and build connections in an environment that is high on both challenge and support, can contribute to athlete mental wellness.

Xcel Boot Camp: Elevate Your Coaching Game
Friday, June 27 – 6:00-8:30 p.m. in Aminah Grand Ballroom
Xcel coaches, step your coaching game with this engaging, hands-on session designed specifically for coaches of Xcel athletes! This 2.5-hour bootcamp will deliver practical drills, effective spotting techniques, and creative choreography tips, along with strategies for structuring your season – from skill progression and conditiong to routine development. Whether you’re new to Xcel or a seasoned coach looking to refresh your approach, this bootcamp will provide the tools to elevate your athletes’ performance across all events. Come ready to move, learn, and leave inspired!
This session is FREE to Congress Registrants, but space is limited and pre-registration is required. Reserve your spot by signing up at the Congress registration desk beginning Thursday at 5:30p.m. Boot Camp attendees aged 18+ must be U110 SafeSport Trained to participate in hands-on spotting activities.

R301 Brain & Body: Beyond Basics
Sunday, June 29 – 12:30-5:30 p.m. in Gina Knee
Reaching beyond simple drills and games, this course provides a better understanding of the process of learning. Topics covered include the developmental stages of self-perception, levels of thought, learning styles, motor learning, motor development and the theory of muscle memory, as well as understanding the Autism spectrum and other special needs. Perfect for preschool, recreational, developmental coaches, directors, owners and team coaches.

Women’s Level 7/8/9/10 Judging Exams
Saturday, June 28 – 5:30-7:30p.m.
WAG Judges’ Level 7/8/9/10 Practical Exams will be offered on Saturday, June 28, start time 5:30p.m.

Transfer/Cancellation Policy

Registration for Minor Members: Individuals attending National or Regional Congress must be minimum of 16 years old. 16-17 year olds attending a Congress must have a non-athlete membership with USA Gymnastics. This can be a Volunteer, Recreational Coach, Competitive Coach or Judge membership (whether or not they also hold an Athlete membership).

Transfer Policy: To transfer a registration to another person, please email [email protected]. All transfers must be received no later than 1:00p.m. EST on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing to [email protected]. Cancellation requests received prior to June 13, 2025 will result in a full refund minus a $30 processing fee. Cancellation requests received after June 13, 2025 will result in a 50% refund of the registration fee. Refund total will be determined by the total number of registrants (if registered as a group) and lowest amount paid will be refunded. NO REFUNDS after July 1, 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: registration belongs to the payor and may be canceled and/or substituted by the payor at any time during the registration period.
