In this lecture, we are going to talk about leadership qualities specific to gymnastics clubs. And it’s going to be fun! We’re going to talk about how to lead a diverse staff, with lots of teenagers, because that is our reality. And how to manage time when you don’t have time to manage time. Also our reality. And as we are sorting the Lost and Found, how to determine what deserves our focus – and what does not. Most of all, how to be impactful leaders. Every coach gets frustrated with mental blocks and we know the athletes and parents get upset as well! This presentation will teach coaches the practical tools they need to work with athletes experiencing mental blocks. It will teach a SYSTEM of tools to help with these athletes, examine where blocks originate, and give them practical tools to help re-wire stuck neural pathways so their athletes can complete the skills. When coaches have a system to work with blocks, they’ll be less frustrated and more compassionate with their athletes.

This discussion will start with some interesting and some unsettling facts and statistics about retention. It’s part fun, and part shock therapy. Once we are all reeling, we will focus on FIXES. Little, big, easy, hard, f-i-x-e-s. We’ll talk about programming solutions, scheduling ideas, training strategies, pricing strategies, seasonal influences, communication tactics and other ideas to improve retention, stop the churn, increase enrollment and build profit.

This session will take you through the steps of what you as a coach can ask yourself when you are struggling with getting corrections from your athletes.
